Equine Specialist Skills and Handling Workshop:

Age Requirements. All participants in equine activities must be at least 18 years of age.
Pre-Approval to Participate in Equine Activities. Those wishing to participate in equine activities must be pre-approved to ensure they have the requisite equine experience. An online “Registration Pre-Approval Form” must be submitted before final registration can be completed. Approval to participate in equine activities will be determined by the workshop facilitators in their sole discretion and the determination will be made within 24 hours of the receipt of the submitted form. Those determined not to have the requisite experience may audit the workshop subject to space availability.
Continuing Education Hours Policy. To be eligible to receive continuing education hours for this workshop, you MUST attend and complete the entire workshop for which you have registered, including arriving on time and staying for the entire duration. You must also complete the post-workshop evaluation in order to receive CE credit. We are unable to provide partial CE credit. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Required Paperwork. Each participant in the workshop, whether as a participant in equine activities or as audit only participant must execute a voluntary waiver and release form and photo release.
Cancellation Policy. Registrant shall notify Equine Connection Counseling in writing of the need to cancel their participation in the workshop event. Cancellation notice received by ECC at least 15 days prior to the workshop event will receive a full refund of monies paid, minus a $50.00 processing fee. Cancellation notice received by ECC 3-14 days prior to the workshop event will be refunded 50%. No refunds will be made for cancellations made within 48 hours of the workshop event.
If the workshop is cancelled by Equine Connection Counseling for any reason, participant will receive a full refund of any monies paid. Equine Connection Counseling is not responsible for reimbursing costs associated with travel and lodging. However, we are happy to provide proof of cancellation upon request.
Workshop Manual. Participants receiving a workshop manual understand and agree that the manual is a copyrighted work by Equine Connection Counseling. Participants agree that they will not duplicate the manual for resale or otherwise reproduce manual without the written permission of Equine Connection Counseling. Additional copies of the manual may be available for purchase from Equine Connection Counseling.

COVID-19 Procedures.
Equine Connection Counseling complies with all recommendations and guidelines established by the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Participants must abide by the following COVID-19 procedures:
- Participants must wear an appropriate mask that covers participant’s nose and mouth at all times during indoor activities (including when using the restroom). Bandanas, neck gaitors, or masks with a vent will not be accepted.
- Participants must wear a mask during outdoor activities in which participants cannot stay socially-distanced.
- Participants who are unvaccinated may not attend if they have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for COVID-19 within 14 days of or during the workshop.
- All participants who experience any COVID-19 symptoms within 14 days prior to or during the workshop agree to immediately notify ECC to determine if they are still eligible to participate.
- Participants who test positive for COVID-19 during or within 14 days prior to the workshop may not participate.
- Any participant who tests positive for COVID-19 during or within 14 days after the workshop agrees to immediately notify ECC.
- Participants who cannot attend in-person due to COVID-19 may be offered an option to participate remotely in classroom instructional activities at the audit rate.
